Change YOUR LIFE
"Change your mind. Change your life." What it means for you.

“Change your Mind – Change Your Life” isn’t just a cute catch phrase or slogan.  It is one of my core beliefs.  If you honestly want to defeat what’s been defeating you, you must change your thinking.  YOU must change your MIND. Let’s be honest though.  Changing the WAY you think is no easy task.  It’s true!  Joyce Meyer often says, “if change were easy, everyone would do it.”

What is life coaching?

Life coaches offer ongoing support for people trying to clarify and attain their goals or find balance in their life and work. Through Zoom calls or in-person sessions, life coaches listen to their clients, ask though-provoking questions and hold clients accountable for following through on plans of action that they have developed with their coach.
Transformation is just a choice away!

-FROM BRENNA PEARCE & ALLAN M. HELLER

. . . I saw the clutter on the floor and felt the chaos in my soul.  Conquering the first clutter, would be the first step in the right direction, but the chaos of my soul would be a few years down the road and on . . . .

My Story

Pt 1. The Epiphany - “Personal Responsibility”

The beginning of transformation started in the Fall of 1982 in a small dorm room on the campus of the University of Arkansas.  I was an 18 year old college Freshman and floundering.  As I looked around the room, I saw the clutter on the floor and felt the chaos in my soul.  Conquering the clutter in the room would be the first step in the right direction.  Dealing with the chaos in my soul would be a few years down the road and on.

I remember distinctly a conversation I had in my head about the condition of my room and the mess in my soul.  “Most of the problems in your life are your fault.”  “I could eliminate 90% of my stress (fear and anxiety) by just getting organized– making a plan.”  This was a game changer!  In my life at that time, it was an epiphany for me. That light bulb moment we long for.  I often think of it as a first step on a journey of transformation.

Over the years, I have come to realize that this small step was part of a larger plan that existed before I even became aware of it.

Pt. 2 - The Surrender

Let me ask a you question.  Who tells Jesus, “I’ll give you a shot” and means it?  A 21 year old woman who has experienced rejection over and over – that’s who.  At 21, the biggest wound in my life was rejection.  Like everyone else, rejection in some way is a part of the life experience, and it starts early.  No one escapes its cruel intent to get you to believe you are not worth it over time.   So in my “surrender” I told Jesus, “You get a shot.”

It was Spring of 1986, my last year at the University of Arkansas.  A long romantic relationship had AGAIN failed.  The pattern repeated itself.  I’d been attending the University Baptist Church with my boyfriend and his parents off and on over several years.  The deal was this, if we would meet them at church, they would take us out for lunch afterwards.  I thought, “that’s worth my time.”  Little did I know the Word of God had planted in my life.  That’s a real thing!  I had no idea at the time, but planted it was.

TESTIMONIals

Sandy Huffaker

writer. speaker. teacher, nashville TN

I first met Robin through mutual friends in a bible study about 4 years ago. At the time, I was really struggling with believing a promise that was given to me. This wasn’t a mere lapse in faith, this was a tormenting inability to express simple trust. My entire belief system seemed upended with an impassable roadblock.

After hearing Robin teach our online group, I was instantly drawn to her wisdom, captivated by her discernment and her ability to equip others. I decided to reach out to her about my faith struggle; in turn, she set up a call, and we delved into the details together. She quickly identified the roadblock, exposed a misconception on my part and helped me reconceptualize the promise with truth. Implementing the truths and strategies she taught me and praying through this painful struggle together has transformed my mind and my heart.

What I loved and admired most is that she never said anything that was enabling to me; rather, her insight and wisdom of Scripture empowered me! She is a gift, dear friend and confidant God has used numerous times. She champions others so well and fervently desires to see each person step into their God-given calling and fulfill their destiny.

"I experienced a pretty strong anxiety attack –a level I’d never felt before– in the midst of a video conference interview. It came seemingly from nowhere. After the trauma, I reached out to Robin asking for prayer/advice/counsel. She sent me truth that diminished the shame I felt about the event. Then we got on a call and I explained to her the details of the event, wanting to give her the full picture.

She was then able to call out any lies I expressed or spirits I partnered with, and reminded me that Jesus not only redeemed that attack, but he uses all things for good. A few days later, I had a follow-up interview. I was nervous and praying all day that I would not be hit with that wave of anxiety again. Robin was sending me reminders of victory all day leading up to the interview and interceded in prayer in the midst of it. Instead of bowing to fear and canceling the second interview altogether, I persevered and faced the trauma head-on. The peace that passes all understanding fell on me minutes into the interview, and worship music I had been listening to that morning was repeating in my head.

Using the tools that Robin taught me and ingesting the truth she continued to remind me of, I was able to leave the interview feeling confident and joyful, proud that the enemy had no hold on me."

There are so many things I could say about Robin Barlow. Besides the Lord, she has been the biggest influence in my pursuit of writing, of relationships, and of motherhood. When my husband and I found out I was pregnant, we were stressed about living in our one-bedroom apartment and not being able to afford anything larger. I remember calling Robin, who told me to take that apartment and begin seeking and praying for opportunities of increased revenue streams.

She prayed over me on the phone, and as soon as we hung up, I had someone contact me about a remote job opportunity teaching Chinese kids English online. We found a two-bedroom that same day, and were able to save over $7,000 that summer from this job. Two years later, and the Lord has increased my revenue streams (even as a stay-at-home mom!) to where I’m now making more than my husband per month.

As a life coach, Robin understands how to mix bold faith with the practical steps needed to get you to where He’s calling you. There’s no one I’d recommend more on this journey than her in your back corner. She will sharpen, encourage, and challenge you to MOVE where He’s leading. Atmosphere is truly a blessing from Heaven.

NICHE

I can help in quite a few areas.

Body Image

We all have parts of our body that seem too big, too small, too something!  Yes?  However, if we believe we have been woven together by our Creator, we must be able to find peace in how we look.  Body image is a huge struggle for most people.  With body image, you and I will discover the lie that was offered to you about HOW you look.  We will explore how that lie comes into our lives and generates thinking that supports the lie over the truth.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. – Psalm 139:13-14 ESV

Time Management

I have to admit, I’ve not always been the most organized person or even managed my time well.  This was a PROCESS!  Getting started and implementing systems that work for you will be a GAME CHANGER.  I am the queen of the daily planner, colored Post It Notes, and colored pens.  They are merely tools that I use to make sure I follow through with commitments and reach meaningful goals.  We will work together and develop a process that works for you!

So, then, be careful how you live.  Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time because the times are evil.  - Ephesians 5:15 ESV

Hearing God's Voice

I would say that “hearing the voice of God” has been the X Factor in my relationship with the Lord.  I make daily, weekly, and life altering decisions based on what I sense the Lord is saying to me.  Remember in the Garden of Eden it was relationship that the Lord desired with Adam and Eve.  He walked and talked with them.  Nothing has changed as far as His desire for intimate relationship with us.  He STILL desires to walk and talk with us. Through the ups and downs of life, His voice has been my life line to peace that surpasses all understanding.  Developing this type of relationship with the Lord brings confidence and excitement through any situation.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.- John 10:27 NASB

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21

Spiritual Growth

We were not made to live a stagnant life.   God made us to live a life filled with meaning and purpose – an “abundant life” as described in scripture. The “secret sauce” of an abundant life is this:

1) read the Word and knowing the HEART of it,
2) recognizing the reality that you ARE a spiritual creation first and foremost, and;
3) pursuing REVELATION of the Word by embracing the Holy Spirit.

How do we GROW in the things of the Spirit? You open up to the spiritual and stop holding it at arm’s length.  Be brave and very courageous!

Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. – 1 Peter 2:2 ESV

Freedom

We hear this “catch phrase” in church all the time….FREEDOM.  What does that really mean?  Freedom from behavior?  Freedom from wrong thinking?  Possibly, but in order to become truly free we need to know what freedom really is – from what are we being freed?  The word says “they are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”  The knowledge you need is that you were born into a “kingdom war.”  That’s right!  On purpose, God placed us on a planet with a dark enemy….the kingdom of darkness.

Years ago while pondering “spiritual warfare” I heard the Lord say POA.  I thought, “property owner’s association?”  He said it again, “POA.”  Then the answer hit.  Prisoners of War!  Because of “lack of knowledge” many God fearing, Jesus loving Believers had become prisoners of war.  My heart broke, just like the Lord’s heart breaks that His people are in bondage.  It’s a mental bondage, but still bondage.  Freedom from bondage is my passion, my lane!

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…. - Hosea 4:6

Prayer

Prayer is a simple dialogue with the Creator of the Universe!  Truly!  But like most things with the Lord, there is so much MORE.  Unpacking simple prayer, warfare prayer, declarative prayer and prayer that moves in the very courts of Heaven are all important avenues to a vital and impactful prayer life.

Ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. - Matthew 7:7
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.  Matthew 21:22
And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything other than prayer. Mark 9:29

"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." Proverbs 4:6-7

"If change were easy, everyone would do it." - Joyce Meyer

plans go wrong for lack of advice. - Proverbs 15:22

Two are better than one because, they have a good return for their work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up.
- Ecclesiastes 4:9 & 10

Better is an open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friends can be trusted.

When we fail to plan, we plan to fail.
